Terms of Service

Welcome to KnowMine. By accessing or using our services (including the website knowmine.ai, the MCP API, and all related features), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Agreement"). If you do not agree to any part of this Agreement, do not use the service.

KnowMine is a personal knowledge base service designed for the AI era. Core features include:

• MCP Knowledge Connector: read and write your knowledge base from any compatible AI client via Model Context Protocol

• AI Auto-Organization: automatic title extraction, categorization, tagging, and vector indexing

• Semantic Search: natural-language retrieval powered by vector search

• Soul Profile: an AI-generated cognitive portrait derived from your knowledge

• Voice-to-Knowledge: record, transcribe, extract, and store in one flow

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time. Material changes will be announced in advance.

• You must be at least 16 years old to register

• You must provide a truthful, accurate email address

• You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and API keys; do not transfer or disclose them

• If you suspect your account has been compromised, contact support@knowmine.ai immediately

• Each natural person should register only one account

When using KnowMine, you agree not to:

• Upload or store content that violates applicable laws or regulations

• Upload or store content that infringes on intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights of others

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, crack, or bypass access controls or rate limits

• Use automated tools to abuse the API or conduct denial-of-service attacks

• Distribute malware, phishing links, or fraudulent information via the service

• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with KnowMine

• Resell or redistribute the service without authorization

Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without prior notice.

• Free tier: no payment required; includes basic quotas for AI search, voice minutes, and storage

• Pro subscription: $9.90 monthly or $79 yearly, includes a 7-day free trial, cancel anytime

• Founder Lifetime: $199 one-time payment (limited to first 100 customers); includes Pro-level quotas

• Payments are processed by third-party providers (such as Creem or Stripe); we do not store your payment card details

• Subscription fees are billed in advance at the start of each billing period

• Unless explicitly stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable; see [Refund Policy](/refund) for details

• Prices may change; renewals will be charged at the updated price with at least 14 days' prior notice

Terms of the 7-day Pro free trial:

• New users may activate a 7-day free trial when first subscribing to Pro

• Full Pro features are available during the trial

• You will receive a reminder email 24 hours before the trial ends; if not canceled, the subscription will automatically renew at the regular rate

• Each user is entitled to only one free trial

• Canceling during the trial period incurs no charges

You retain full ownership of all content you upload or create (notes, knowledge, documents, voice recordings, etc. — "User Content").

To provide the service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license, limited strictly to what is necessary for service operation, to:

• Store, index, and vectorize your User Content

• Retrieve and return relevant content when you actively query

• Generate personal derivatives visible only to you (such as Soul Profile and growth reports)

We will not use your User Content to train general-purpose AI models, not share it with other users, and not use it for advertising. When you close your account, your User Content will be permanently deleted.

All intellectual property rights in the KnowMine service itself (including software, interface design, trademarks, and documentation) belong to KnowMine and are protected by applicable law.

This Agreement does not grant you any ownership of, or license to, KnowMine's intellectual property beyond what is necessary to use the service. Without written authorization, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of any part of KnowMine.

KnowMine integrates with or depends on the following third-party services, each subject to its own terms:

• OpenAI: embeddings and AI capabilities

• Neon: managed PostgreSQL database

• Pinecone: vector search database

• Vercel: website hosting

• Resend: email delivery

• Creem / Stripe: payment processing

We select third-party providers carefully but cannot guarantee their availability or performance.

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation.

In particular:

• AI-generated Soul Profiles and insight reports are for reference only and do not constitute advice of any kind

• Accuracy of semantic search results depends on many factors; do not rely on them as a sole basis for decisions

• We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or bug-free, but we will make reasonable efforts to maintain quality

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KnowMine shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption.

If KnowMine is found liable despite the foregoing, cumulative liability shall not exceed the total fees you paid to KnowMine in the preceding 12 months or USD $100, whichever is lower.

You may cancel your subscription or delete your account at any time via the web interface. Upon deletion, all your User Content will be permanently removed within 30 days.

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms

• Your account has been inactive for more than 24 months with outstanding fees

• Required by law or a lawful government request

• The service is discontinued entirely

Termination does not relieve you of payment obligations already incurred.

We may amend these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or website notice at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree, please stop using the service and close your account.

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the service provider is located. Any dispute arising from this Agreement or the service shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to a competent court or arbitration body in the service provider's jurisdiction.
