KnowMine ("we", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the KnowMine service, including the website knowmine.ai and the MCP API.

We collect the following types of data:

• Account information: email address provided during registration.

• Knowledge base content: notes, memories, documents, and metadata (titles, tags, types) that you actively save.

• Usage data: API call logs and feature usage statistics (no content).

• Technical data: IP address, device type, browser information (for security auditing).

We do not collect payment information (handled by third-party processors), your conversation history, or any data you have not actively submitted.

We use collected data to:

• Provide and maintain the KnowMine service

• Respond to support requests

• Improve product features (using anonymous aggregated statistics only)

• Comply with applicable laws and regulations

• Storage: Data is stored in Neon (PostgreSQL cloud database) and Pinecone (vector database), both located in the United States.

• Encryption in transit: All API communications are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.

• Data isolation: Each API key maps to a single user account. No cross-user data access is possible.

• Embeddings: When generating vector embeddings, your content is processed by the OpenAI Embeddings API (text-embedding-3-small), subject to OpenAI's privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data with third parties only in these cases:

• Infrastructure providers: Neon (database), Pinecone (vector search), OpenAI (embedding generation), Vercel (hosting). These providers process your data only as necessary to deliver the service.

• Legal requirements: When required by law or in response to lawful government requests.

You have the right to:

• Access: view all data stored in your account

• Export: export your knowledge base content via API or web interface

• Delete: remove individual entries, or delete your account and all associated data

• Correct: edit any content you have saved

We use essential session cookies to maintain login state. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

KnowMine is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

We will notify you of material changes to this policy by email or website announcement. Continued use of the service after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
